Davis New Homes & Developments is proudly licensed by Tarion Warranty Corporation. Every home we build is covered by Ontario's new home warranty, and our own service team stays with you long after you take possession.

What your warranty covers

Ontario's statutory new home warranty is administered by Tarion and covers a new home for up to seven years from the date of possession. In general terms it works like this:

One year: protection against defects in work and materials, and against violations of the Ontario Building Code.

Two years: protection against water penetration, defects in the electrical, plumbing and heating delivery systems, defects in the exterior cladding, and Building Code health and safety violations.

Seven years: protection against major structural defects.

Tarion sets the coverage and the claim timelines, so the full details, including what is excluded, are on tarion.com. If you are not sure whether something is covered, ask us and we will help you sort it out.

How to request service

Email our service team at service@davisnewhomes.ca with your name, your address, and a description of the issue. Photos help. One of our customer service representatives will get back to you, normally within one business day.

Service centre hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, excluding statutory holidays.

After you move in

Our dedicated customer service staff are with you from the moment you take possession and beyond. You deal directly with our team rather than an outside call centre, which is the simplest way we know to get an issue looked at and resolved quickly.

Our standing with Tarion

Davis New Homes was nominated for the 2019 Ernest Assaly Award by Tarion, which recognizes a builder with an extraordinary track record and reputation. Only the top one percent of builders in Ontario qualify to be considered for it.
